Let’s Pay It Forward Today Inc. (“LPIFT”) is a nonprofit organization, established on April 16, 2020, in the midst of the COVID19 crisis. The nonprofit is governed by an independent, non-affiliated Board of Directors composed of six members, all of which belong to minority groups. Furthermore, LPIFT’s board composition is 50% female and 50% male, embodying the organization’s view that the world would be a better place if both women and men have equal representation in all facets of life. Please refer to Our Board Members for details.

How We Began
LPIFT began as a result of the frustration of seeing low-income communities and individuals stuck in their current situations despite their relentless work to break free from poverty. How can we expect poverty, crime, and discrimination to end, if individuals are not provided with equal, fair access to capital, resources, and knowledge?

In order for our communities to thrive, we have to acknowledge the discrepancies in the opportunities provided to underprivileged individuals versus privileged individuals. LPIFT seeks to be the bridge to fill the gap. 

Our Purpose
LPIFT’s goal is to leverage available funds and resources, and repurpose them to aid underprivileged individuals. The Founder’s vision comes from her realization of the blessings life has endowed on her, and her desire to pay if forward, hence, the name “Let’s Pay It Forward Today.” 

Our Support
In addition to donations and grants, LPIFT receives annual income from certain for-profit entities that support its “Pay It Forward” movement. 

 

What We Believe

  • All individuals have the right to access basic human necessities, such as housing, nutrition, health services, and education.

  • If given a fair opportunity and assistance, people can break the poverty cycle and improve their lives.

  • It is all our responsibility to pay it forward.

  • Fear is our greatest enemy.

  • Love conquers all.

  • Strangers do care.
